Ganton Golf Course

Visiting golfers are welcome to play at Ganton and tee times are normally available both during the week and at weekends. Times are however, subject to availability and visitors must always make arrangements in advance to play. Ganton is a challenging Championship Course and not suited to players without a current handicap certificate.

Green Fees:

Midweek £75.00 per round or day (£50.00 November to February inclusive)
Weekends & Bank Holidays £85.00 per round or day

Clubhouse Hours:

The Clubhouse opens at 8.30 a.m. each day and normally closes at 9.00 p.m. weekdays and at 7.30 p.m. weekends in the Summer and at 7.00 p.m. in the Winter. The Bar closes 30 minutes before the Clubhouse.

Catering:

Snack meals are available throughout the day. Lunch is served from 12 noon and visitors wishing to take lunch are requested to advise the catering staff before play. Evening meals can be arranged with the Caterer but at least 48 hours notice is required. To discuss your catering requirements please contact Robert Stubbs on 01944 712802.

General Information

General Enquiries/Bookings:

Tees of the Day:

Gentlemen normally play from the Yellow Tees and Ladies from the Red Tees.

Practice:

There is an excellent thirteen acre practice range, complemented by a short game practice facility. Baskets of balls may be obtained from the Professional’s Shop.

Caddies:

A limited number of bag carriers are available. Bookings should be made with the Caddiemaster. (Tel: 01944 712804)

Buggies:

Regrettably, buggies are only available for hire on production of a medical certificate and must be booked in advance via the Secretary’s Office. Electric scooters and personal buggies are not allowed on the course.

Rules & Guidelines


On Arrival:

Please make your way to the Caddiemaster’s Office to check-in.

Payments:

Individual green fees should be paid at the Professional’s Shop before play. Accounts may be settled by cash, cheque (supported by valid bankcard) or credit/debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Switch and American Express are acceptable.)

Handicap Certificates:

All visitors must be in possession of a current handicap certificate.

Dress on the Course:

Metal or soft spikes are allowed. Conventional golf wear is required and tailored shorts may be worn with knee length socks. (Short sports socks are not permitted.) Denim jeans, collarless shirts and training shoes are not permitted on the course or in the Clubhouse.

Dress in the Clubhouse:

Smart casual wear is allowed in the Men’s Bar Monday to Friday. At weekends, and in all other Club Rooms, gentlemen must wear jackets and ties or cravats.

Mobile Telephones:

Not permitted on the course or in the Clubhouse. Essential calls should be made from the payphone in the Clubhouse or discreetly from inside of your car.

Dogs:

Not permitted on the course or in the clubhouse.

Insurance:

Visitors are strongly advised to check that they are adequately covered.

Etiquette/Care of the Course:

Visitors are politely requested to respect the Club’s traditions and observe golf’s courtesies. In particular, please refrain from making practice swings on the tees and keep all trolleys off tees and away from the areas between greens and greenside bunkers. Please replace all divots, rake bunkers and avoid climbing up or down the bunker faces.
